The effect of vulcanization on tires
Release Time: 2024-09-29 15:12

The internal microstructure of tire before vulcanization is linear polymer, which is viscoelastic plastic rubber, easy to deform, low strength, no use value; After vulcanization, the version of the polymer in the plastic rubber cross-linked reaction, the formation of a network of polymer materials, the microscopic expression of the right to cure, into a valuable high-elastic rubber.

The heat source of tire vulcanization is mainly from the inside, generally using hot water or steam, so the internal temperature is higher. Because the outside is in direct contact with the abrasive tool, it can also absorb heat from the mold itself and heat up faster, because the thermal conductivity of rubber is not very good, so for the middle part of the zd tire, especially the thicker part, the temperature is slower, and the vulcanization is simple lagging, such as the inside of the tire shoulder and Bead. Therefore, in general, the vulcanization speed of the inside is required to be slow, and the vulcanization speed of the thicker part in the middle is required to be fast. As a general rule, the smaller the tire, the higher the vulcanization temperature and the shorter the vulcanization time, the larger the tire, the lower the vulcanization temperature and the longer the vulcanization time. Equal standard bias tires are thicker than radial tires, so the vulcanization temperature of bias tires is relatively lower and the time is longer.

The raw tire is loaded to the vulcanization machine, and after the appropriate time and suitable conditions in the mold, it is vulcanized into the finished tire. The vulcanized tire has the appearance of the finished tire - the picture, the lettering and the tread pattern. Now, the tires will be sent to the final inspection area. Therefore, the role of the tire vulcanizer in the tire is very large.
